If the spill is big enough, you may turn the rug over and blot the back. It is important to remove all the moisture as possible as you can. When you are dealing with a liquid spill that may stain the rug, such as the juice, use a mixture of half warm water and half of vinegar and blot this on the stained area with a clean and neat cloth. You should Dip the cloth into the mixture and wring it out well to ensure that no more water drips onto other areas of the carpet.
